Belt is one of the most important accessory a man has. A belt worn in the worn incorrectly even break your image! Here is a guide on how you should wear your belt and belt etiquette.
Belt Anatomy (1). First understand it's anatomy. The belt is composed of the strap and buckle. The strap has two parts: the end tip and the punch hole. The Buckle has 4 parts: the belt loop, the bar, the frame, and the prong (note: the prong should go through the middle punch hole). The diagram will be the first image in the slide.
Belt Size (2).The second thing you should know about belts is that there are different sizes. Belts range from Small (S) to Extra Extra Long (XXL). A size guide for reference is below and will be the second image in the slide:
Belt Style (3). From belt to belt, the style changes. The main belt styles you are going to see is the frame style, the plate style, the box frame style (open box or closed box), and the ring style (0-ring or a D-ring).
Belt Width (4). If the belt width ranges from 1.25-1.5 inches it's a dress belt which complements your formals.
If it's above 1.5-1.75 inches it's a casual one.
Gig Line (5).There' an imaginary line that starts from shirt placket to the vertical line of the buckle extending to the trouser seam. Ideally, these three should align to create a perfect line down the front of one’s body as seen in the image.
